August 24, 2019
8:50am – 12:00pm
Trinity Church desires to actively engage in an ESL outreach to our community. In preparation for the fall classes, a free workshop is being offered on Saturday, August 24, designed to help us build and hone our English teaching skills. The session will meet in the Social Hall from 8:50 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and is for all current and prospective teachers and helpers. Ms. Ling Lee will be the instructor.
Ms. Ling Lee's education includes a B.A. in Literature from the University of California, San Diego, and a M.A. in Biblical Studies from Westminster Seminary California. From 2010 to 2018 Ling served as a Western Languages instructor at a university in Asia, mentoring students in beginner to advanced levels in English conversation and in cross-cultural interactions. She also taught English classes open to the community. In 2013 Ling was appointed as the director of the English Communication Office where she trained teachers in classroom management and curriculum development. She currently volunteers at Trinity Church's ESL classes on Thursday evenings throughout the school year.
All interested persons should sign the sheet on the bulletin board in the foyer. The workshop is required for current staff and highly encouraged for anyone with any interest in teaching or helping in our English classes this fall.
