Mission Statement

Established in 1955, Trinity is a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. That we are presbyterians means that each local congregation is governed by presbyters (elders), elected by and from among the people, who share with the pastor in the oversight of the church. Local churches are joined together under the government of regional assemblies called presbyteries, made up of the Orthodox Presbyterian ministers of the region and elders from each of the member churches. Commissioners from each presbytery meet together annually in a General Assembly.

The word "orthodox" in our name means that we adhere to the historic teachings of the Christian church, and particularly of the portion of the church known as Reformed. We are committed to the Bible as "the Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice." Our ministers, elders, and deacons subscribe to the historic Westminster Confession of Faith, and Larger and Shorter Catechisms as an accurate expression of what we believe the Bible to teach.

We confess our faith in Christ alone as our Lord and our Savior from sin and seek to serve him in all that we do.

As a church of Jesus Christ we exist to glorify God. In submission to his Word and in reliance on the Holy Spirit we are to show forth his glory through:

  • Worshiping him as God and as our covenant God
  • Confessing his glorious name before the world
  • Witnessing at home and abroad so that sinners like ourselves may hear the gospel and turn to Christ in true faith and repentance
  • Building up the body of Christ through the sharing of gifts and instruction in the whole counsel of God so that we might live lives worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way, and
  • Showing the mercy of Christ through deeds of love to those in need.

We do these things looking forward to the great and glorious return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
